“While a life long coffee drinker, I recently had to stop following a tonsil cancer diagnosis, because after the treatments, I no longer had any sense of taste and smell. When I tried to drink my morning coffee, it tasted like what I imagined to be dirty dishwater which turned my stomach. My precious wife hates that I have lost my sense of taste and smell, and she is constantly trying to find anything that might give me my morning warm beverage to start my day. Knowing that I recently tried a chai tea which induced some sense of taste, she was at a local farmers’ market and came across Working Dog Teas. After talking with people in the booth and reviewing their selection, she decided to see whether their Regal Beagle blend might be an option for me. Having only had warm teas to soothe a sore throat, I was somewhat skeptical, but I agreed to give it a try. I was more than pleasantly surprised to experience not only the warmth but also a sense of Indian spice. Excited to find something that gave me some sense of taste, I varied the amount of leaves I’d place in my tea strainer until I found the right strength for me. While I know that I don’t get the full experience of all the tea leaves, herbs, and spices, I’m thankful to the young man who created the Regal Beagle tea blend that gives me some season of taste again. We have made several purchases from online and at the local farmers/ market, and the product remains consistent. I highly recommend Working Dog Teas.”
